The Basic Concept - of BuyThisBanner.com (BTB) can be explained very easily. You see a BTB banner somewhere on the internet, maybe in a blog or a forum or in an online auction, and click on it to read more. After realising that by following the easy instructions you could be placing your own banner on the web and attracting other people to the site, you decide to sign up securely through Paypal. The subscription costs $10.00 a month. From your $10.00 a month the person who's banner you clicked on is rewarded $5.00 a month and the person who signed them up is rewarded $2.50 a month for as long as you remain a subscriber.

Your Referral Link - Your text link is displayed on your MyBanner page. Basically when people click on this link (either as text or attached to a banner) they visit your version of this website. Then when they sign up and complete their subscription they become one of your referrals and you will get $5.00 a month as a reward for subscribing that person. When that person starts placing their banners on the web and subscribing new people you will get rewarded $2.50 a month from each one of these secondary referrals.
TIP: Copy and paste your text link into a web browser and see how it works. When it takes you to the site click on register and check that your referral ID is displayed in the box.
The easiest way to attact new people to the site is simply by using your text link around the web. Although text links are easy, they don't attract new visitors in the same way banners do and that is why this concept works so well. The banner is just a picture that you can choose in the banners section which visually promotes your link to new visitors. We show you how and where to place banners later on in the tutorial. Once you have banners up on the web you will start attracting new visitors, the more visitors who sign up, the more you get rewarded:
Example 1 - An internet novice gets a BTB account:

1.) You sign up to BTB, choose your banner and put it online, maybe just in a blog you particpate in or on your page of a community website.
2.) People start seeing your banner, clicking on it and signing up to get their own. At least one person a week is signing up from seeing your banner. After the first month you are earning $20.00 per month, you have doubled your subsciption fee. Every month another four people subscribe from your banner and after a year you have subscribed 48 people and your monthly reward is $240.00 from your primary referrals.
3.) All your primary referrals have of course gone and got new susbcribers signed up through their banners. These people are your secondary referrals and for each one you are rewarded $2.50. It is hard to estimate but if your 48 primary referrals subscribed only five people each over the course of the whole year, you would have 240 secondary referrals. This would mean you would be rewarded an additional $600 a month from your secondary referrals. That coupled with the $240 from your primary referrals means you would be rewarded $840 every month and still only paying your $10 a month subscription!

Example 2 - An internet pro gets a BTB account:

1.) You sign up to BTB, choose multiple banners and put then online. You use blogs, forums, community websites, emails, auction websites, pay per click marketing and other forms of online advertising.
2) People everywhere see your banners and are signing up constantly. At least 3 people a day are signing up from seeing your banner. After the first month you have subscribed 90 people and you are rewarded $450 a month. Every month another 90 people subscibe from your banner and after a year you have subscribed 1080 people and your monthly reward is $5,040 from your primary referrals.
3.) All your primary referrals have of course gone and got new susbcribers signed up through their banners. These people are your secondary referrals and for each one you are rewarded $2.50. It is hard to estimate but if your 1080 primary referrals subscribed only five people each over the course of the whole year, you would have 5400 secondary referrals. This would mean you would be rewarded an additional $13,500.00 a month from your secondary referrals. That coupled with the $5,040 from your primary referrals means you would be rewarded $18,540.00 every month and still only paying your $10 a month subscription!

BTB registration - takes just 1 minute as very little information is required. Go to the subscription sign up page and enter your firstname and surname, a username and password of your choice, your email address and your PayPal account email address and click on the 'submit' button. You can then sign in and access your MyBanner page. On your MyBanner page you will see a PayPal subscription button which will take you to a secure PayPal page for you to pay your subscription. Once your PayPal subscription payment is confirmed your BTB account and individual referral link will become active.

Pay your subscription with PayPal - by clicking on the PayPal Subscription button on your MyBanner page. The subscription costs just $10.00 a month for as long as you keep the susbscription active. Your PayPal account will automatically pay $10.00 a month on (or around) the day you made your first payment on a recurring monthly basis. As soon as your first subscription payment has been confirmed (usually within 4 hours) your BTB account will become active and your referral link will be live, ready to use.
There is no minimum subscription length and you can cancel your subscription at any time. If you do decide to cancel your subscription your acount will become inactive and you will not receive any further rewards from any referrals you had during your subscription.

Choose your banners - by visiting the banner center. Banners are the best way to attract new people to the site to gain referrals. They visually represent your referral link and are available in all standard banner sizes which is convenievent if you want to use them for intended banner spaces on webpages. They can of course also be dropped into any description/text field on any web page that allows the use of HTML (the code which displays your banners, shown below). If HTML cannot be used then just use your standard referral text link.

How to place your banners online - to get new referrals. Your referral link is shown in your MyBanner page and it is individual to you. You use your link to promote Buy This Banner in order to get new referrals and increase your monthly reward money. The best way of using your link to attract new visitors is to attach it to one of the banners in the banner section or create your own banner. Firstly, we'll show you how to use one of the banners available in the banner section.
1. Go to the banner section and choose your banner.
2. Click on the banner ID code to copy the banner code with your referral link*.
* If your browser does not support this function, click on 'show code', then right-click anywhere on the code and click copy.
3. Now you are ready to paste the code online. Simply go to the place where you want to see your banner, right click and select 'paste' or press Ctrl+v to paste the code. See the next section for ideas on where to place your banners.

Where to place your banners online - to get new visitors. There are literally thousands of places to display your banners and links to promote the site. Here we briefly talk about some ot the most popular places but download 'Harness the Power of the Internet' from your MyBanner download section for full information and directory listings of sites to use.
Blogs A blog is a user-generated website where entries are made in journal style and displayed in a reverse chronological order. They are online diary-like conversations and are usually specific to a particular group of people, activity, or theme. Displaying a banner in a blog you might participate in is a good way to reach like-minded people who otherwise may not see a banner. Go to a search engine like Google and type in Blogs to find loads!

Forums An Internet forum is a web application which provides for discussion, often in conjunction with online communities, there are forums on every subject on the web. It is easy to join forums and start new 'posts' which include your banner to the site. Showing banners in popular forums is a very good way to get lots of visits. Chat Rooms A chat room is a place on the Internet where people with similar interests can communicate in real-time by typing messages on their computers. In a traditional chatroom you would only be able to display your referral link as text but newer chatrooms cater for HTML code meaning you could paste your banner code straight into the chat. Auction Sites An online auction site is an excellent place to advertise your banner. If you use an auction site regularly, you could reach lots of new potential subscribers by displaying your banners at the bottom of your item listings. You could even 'sell' your referral link as 'A New Way to Make Money Online'. Go to a search engine like Google and type in Auction Sites to find loads!

Community Websites Community websites are now very popular with new ones starting up all the time. Like all these ideas they are free to join and you get your own profile page which you can display your banners on. These are a great way to reach people on an ongoing basis and you might meet new friends! Go to a search engine like Google and type in Community Websites to find loads!

Other Websites If you have a website or you know someone who has a website get your banners displayed on them. Obviously the more traffic the website gets the more chance people will click on your banner.

Email If you have a large address book or you own a mailing list of people who would like to hear about BTB then send out an email with your banner on it. Just copy and paste the code into your email and your banner should display. You can then write what you want in the email and send it to your potential subscribers.

Newsgroups An Internet message board, usually devoted to a specific topic, to which a user may post comments or queries and view the replies of other people. You can display your banner as a new topic or just paste it into the bottom of one of your comments.

Paid Advertising Once you are receiving a sizable monthly reward you might consider paying for a banner advertising slot on an established popular website. Most websites offer banner advertising for sale and prices are dependent on how popular the website is. They usually measure the popularity of the website by the number of hits it receives in a week/month. You should always ask to see figures on the websites traffic before paying for advertising. If it's done well, paid banner advertising can prove to be very cost effective and can attract the highest numbers of new referrals.

Subscription Payments and Monthly Rewards - can all be tracked from within your MyBanner page. Your subscription costs $10.00 which is recurring on a monthly basis. You will be charged $10.00 on the day you first subscibe and then $10.00 on that day every month after unless you decide to cancel your subscription.
You are rewarded $5.00 for every primary referral you subscribe through your banners and $2.50 for every secondary who subscribe through your primary referrals banners. You will only be paid on active paid up referrals and you can track their active status using your referral lists in your MyBanner page. Your reward pay day is the day after your subscription due day and it is essential to keep your subscription up to date in order to receive your reward payments.
